This is covered by defaults now, I don't see a reason for the bug to be open any longer.

Description:
------------
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.commandline.php
I'm having an awful time doing something that I expect Thousands of
people have attempted. Why is this not documented better?
I don't want to use the Apache Module for PHP5. I need to get it running
as a CGI program. There are 4 ./configure options. Apache has several
ways to be configured here. I don't see even a basic functional example
on this page. You do not even begin to explain how to ensure php-cgi is
built, how to suppress the shared object module, where it is installed,
and how to link it to any web server (even just to get users started).
Can we work upon this?
