With the xCHM has long failed to provide search highlighting when using the phpZ skin. This is because the actual page is "reformed" on the fly to include the user notes and to assign the CSS. This process inhibits the highlighting capabilities of the help program. Having just downloaded the standard CHM file from http://uk3.php.net/get/php_manual_en.chm/from/a/mirror, I can confirm that syntax highlighting works fine. Downloading the xCHM zip file from http://uk3.php.net/get/php_manual_chm.zip/from/a/mirror, and using all the skins, I can confirm that this is still an issue. If it is at all possible, do you still have the original download? If so, could you supply a URL for it? It worked perfectley on the earlier manual version on same computer, so I don't think it's the viewer's problem.
