Edit report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=68101&edit=1 ID: 68101 Updated by: cmb@php.net Reported by: marc at ermshaus dot org Summary: [DE] “Trinitäts-Operator” (trinity operator) Status: Open Type: Documentation Problem Package: Translation problem PHP Version: Irrelevant Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: I fully agree that "Trinitäts-Operator" is a mistranslation. However, I would prefer to stick as closely to the English original as reasonable, so I have submitted via PhDOE: | Ein weiterer Vergleichs-Operator ist der "?:" (oder ternäre) | Operator. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2014-09-26 02:25:11] marc at ermshaus dot org Description: ------------ - http://php.net/manual/de/language.operators.comparison.php Translating the conditional operator (?:) as “Trinitäts-Operator” (German) seems doubtful to me. To the best of my knowledge, “Trinität” means “trinity”. I’d opt for something along the lines of: “Der Bedingungsoperator (Konditionaloperator) ist ein ternärer Operator.” If you know German, please see here for more explanation: - https://github.com/php-de/php-de.github.io/issues/116#issuecomment-56911463 Best Marc ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=68101&edit=1
