It makes me confused once. In 5.5.x, the 'empty' function could determine whether a variable is empty, and we could learn that empty() also support a expression from the note statement. The problem is, in Chinese version had not add that note yet. For a time, our team had always wonder why some code likes 'empty(trim($var))' can run on one's platform, but others, until we saw the manual in English version. Maybe you guys could add the note in English for Chinese manual page.
