Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2017-02-06 14:53:38] edna at ias dot edu The point is a parameter does not return anything. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2017-02-02 18:07:46] cmb@php.net > Set to FALSE if input contains character from outside the base64 > alphabet. That still wouldn't explain the actual meaning of this parameter: if it is TRUE and data contains invalid characters, the function fails (returning FALSE). If it is false and data contains invalid characters, these are silently skipped. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2017-02-01 20:34:57] edna at ias dot edu Description: ------------ The second parameter **strict** is described as: Returns FALSE if input contains character from outside the base64 alphabet. Should be Set to FALSE if input contains character from outside the base64 alphabet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=74029&edit=1
