From: derek dot price at dxc dot com Operating system: PHP version: 5.6.30 Package: Documentation problem Bug Type: Documentation Problem Bug description:PDOStatement::getColumnMeta Should not be Experimental Description: ------------ --- From manual page: http://www.php.net/pdostatement.getcolumnmeta --- This manual page should no longer list this feature as experimental. It has been around for at least 10 years. There is a comment on the page that is 8 years old and a link to an external discussion that is 10 years old. This is a very useful feature and SHOW COLUMNS is no substitute since a select query may bridge multiple tables and may include calculations that are not directly part of any table. Without this method, there is not even a way to gather the column names from an empty result set from PDO. Expected result: ---------------- The EXPERIMENTAL tag should be removed from the manual page for PDOStatement::getColumnMeta(). -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=74370&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.5): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=trysnapshot55 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=fixed Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=74370&r=mysqlcfg
