Summary: list documentation does not reflect changes of PHP
7.1
Status: Verified
Type: Documentation Problem
Package: Arrays related
PHP Version: Irrelevant

New Comment:
The 7.1 list() enhancements are documented now[1], but the
âSymmetric array destructuringâ[2] is still undocumented. Since
the latter is somewhat related, I'm leaving this ticket open to
track that.

Indeed, so far this info is only available in the migration guide:

Description:
------------
Since PHP 7.1 list() supports destructuring of arrays with non-integer or non-sequential keys. The
documentation (english and german) is out of date, showing only the support of numerical arrays.
