The PHP 5 documentation archives have been restored by

feature request.

This link only has PHP 4 archives: http://doc.php.net/archives/
I migrate PHP 5 applications for a living so yes, I really need it and I'll post this on the
mailing list.

For now you can download from
<https://github.com/php/web-doc/tree/master/www/archives/php5>.
I'm changing this as bug report regarding the missing archives.
If you feel strongly, that the PHP 5 docs should be available
online, please send mail to the documentation mailing list, but I
don't think this will happen for capacity reasons (the doc team
appears to be barely able to keep up with PHP 7 and 8).

We're in the progress of removing PHP 5 related information from
the manual[1]. The info about safe mode has already been
removed[2] (modulo some oversights). If you still need
documentation for PHP 5, you can download an archived version from
<http://doc.php.net/archives/> â well, if it
wasn't gone for some
reason. I'll try to find out why.

Description:
------------
This link displays an nginx 404 page: https://www.php.net/manual/en/ini.sect.safe-mode.php#ini.safe-mode
It's not a broken link since the search results point to it (top result): https://www.php.net/results.php?q=safe+mode&l=en&p=all
Expected result:
----------------
Manual page
Actual result:
--------------
nginx 404
