From: robin_fernandes at uk dot ibm dot com Operating system: * PHP version: Irrelevant PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: DOC: ob_start(): $chunk_size=1 no longer has special behaviour in PHP6 Description: ------------ The documentation for ob_start() states that passing the $chunk_size parameter as value 1 sets the actual chunk size to 4096. That statement is no longer true on PHP6. It would be great if the documentation could explicitly state this change in behaviour. (Some background: this was initially addressed as a functional problem under bug 46903, which made PHP6 behave like PHP5. However, this was reverted following discussion on the internals list: http://marc.info/?l=php-internals&m=123476465621346&w=2 ) Reproduce code: --------------- N/A Expected result: ---------------- N/A Actual result: -------------- N/A -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=47440&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=trysnapshot52 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.3): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=trysnapshot53 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=fixedcvs Fixed in CVS and need be documented: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=needdocs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=php4 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=47440&r=mysqlcfg
