From: phpbugs at nicholassloan dot com Operating system: Linux/Unix PHP version: Irrelevant PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: Must Run ./buildconf --force on PHP_5_3_0 Tag From SVN Description: ------------ When checking out a tag (or perhaps only the PHP_5_3_0 tag, I'm not sure) from SVN, no configure file exists in the release. ./buildconf must be run, but it reports that ./buildconf should not be run on a release package. ./buildconf --force must be run to generate the configure file. The documentation on this is a bit unclear. It should be specified in the documentation that a release tarball contains the configure script already, but that the tagged release in the SVN repo does not.
