New Comment:
Theres a difference between FILEINFO_MIME and FILEINFO_MIME_TYPE:
* FILEINFO_MIME returns the mimetype
* FILEINFO_MIME_TYPE returns the type and mime encoding as per RFC
2045
I think its intended usage of FILEINFO_MIME_TYPE, but I'll assign it to
the original author of the example to clarify this.

Description:
------------
On this page http://php.net/manual/en/function.finfo-file.php
the
example uses the wrong constant.
The constant is FILEINFO_MIME, not FILEINFO_MIME_TYPE.
