online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

the popen example contains the following line
$handle = popen('/path/to/spooge 2>&1', 'r');
perhaps you are unaware of this - but spooge is a term for semen - this
is really an inappropriate thing to have in the docs
