ID: 49745 Updated by: fa@php.net Reported By: edwin dot h at clear dot net dot nz -Status: Open +Status: Closed Bug Type: Documentation problem PHP Version: 5.3.0 New Comment: This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2009-10-02 20:20:04] svn@php.net Automatic comment from SVN on behalf of fa Revision: http://svn.php.net/viewvc/?view=revision&revision=289096 Log: fix #49745 - "string" -> "DateInterval" in method description ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2009-10-02 09:11:40] edwin dot h at clear dot net dot nz Description: ------------ In the Description section of the documentation, for DateTime::add() the variable type for $interval is said to be "string", but for the procedural equivalent, date_add() the variable type for $interval is said to be "DateInterval". However, in the Parameters section of the documentation, the type for $interval is only said to be "DateTime" and there is no mention of "string". This is inconsistent - though I am not clear whether the Description section is correct and the Parameters section is wrong, or vice versa. Reproduce code: --------------- --- From manual page: datetime.add#Description --- Expected result: ---------------- Not applicable. Actual result: -------------- Not applicable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=49745&edit=1
