You might be correct from a scientifical or theoretical point if view.
In real world average users expect a "kilobyte" to be 1024 bytes.

Description:
------------
Within the documentation, the FAQs state that shorthand notation uses
'K' for
Kilobytes which further goes on to state that 1 Kilobyte equals 1024
bytes. This
is incorrect as 1 kilobyte actually equals 1000 bytes. 1 Kibibyte is
equal to
1024, not kilobyte.
