From: Operating system: Linux/Windows I think PHP version: 5.3.2 Package: Documentation problem Bug Type: Documentation Problem Bug description:Use of @ in CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS is new Description: ------------ The CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS option supports the use of @ to indicate that a file should be sent as part of the post data, but the documentation does not specify what is the earliest version that supports this feature. I believe that my version of PHP does not support the use of the @ sign at the beginning of a data value in CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, but because the documentation makes it seem like it has always been there, I can't verify this. I have PHP 5.1.2 in production (we're chickens when it comes to upgrading), but 5.2.5 on my dev machine (running XAMPP). In the XAMPP 5.2.5 version, the @ feature only works if the POST data is passed as an array. That should be in the docs too. I'm adding some comments for future readers. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=52331&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=trysnapshot52 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (trunk): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=fixed Fixed in SVN and need be documented: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=needdocs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=php4 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52331&r=mysqlcfg
