Bug #52670 [NEW]: HTTP authentication with CGI

From: Operating system: Debian lenny PHP version: Irrelevant Package: Documentation problem Bug Type: Bug Bug description:HTTP authentication with CGI Description: ------------ In the PHP documentation there is written: "The HTTP Authentication hooks in PHP are only available when it is running as an Apache module and is hence not available in the CGI version." In fact it DOES work for me. I use php-cgi via FastCGI on Debian lenny with lighttpd and there IS a correct value in $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'].
