I can confirm that prior too V5.2.11RC1, the categorize parameter was
interpreted
as !isnull($categorize).
Supplying, true, false, '', 'somejunk', 'xml' would all be interpreted
as true.

Prior to php 5.2.11 (at least as far back as 5.1.3, which is the oldest
version I have available for regression testing), if the categorize
parameter was specified, it would always return categorized results,
even if categorize=false. (Reference: http://bugs.php.net/48629)
