Log: Fixed bug #46316 (call_user_func_array php5.x differences)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2008-10-16 15:45:38] rpeters at icomproductions dot ca
Description:
------------
return call_user_func_array(array($this, 'parent::__construct'),
$arrParentArgs); causes a warning in 5.1.1, but works in 5.2.6
$parent_class=get_parent_class($this);
call_user_func_array(array($parent_class, '__construct'),
$arrParentArgs); causes an e_strict message in 5.2.6, but works in
5.1.1
The documentation needs to state when this change occurred, so that
applications can test the PHP version and behave appropriately.
Expected result:
----------------
The documentation should reflect this behavior change, and inform
developers of how to work with it. It should also describe the current
correct way of calling parent functions.
Actual result:
--------------
The documentation says nothing about using parent in
call_user_func_array.
