This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

In the first example the code listing says:
/* free result set */
$result->close();
This is however not a method on the mysqli_result but should be as in
the second (procedural) example:
mysqli_free_result($result);
