New Comment:
Sorry I just tested and I got a warning because FILEINFO_MIME_TYPE is
interpreted
as a string meanwhile FILEINFO_MIME is not.

The second argument to finfo_open() is optional, as described on
http://php.net/function.finfo-open

Description:
------------
---
From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.finfo-file#Exemples
---
$finfo = finfo_open(FILEINFO_MIME_TYPE); // Retourne le type mime à la
extension
mimetype
or here http://www.php.net/function.finfo-open
: $finfo =
finfo_open(FILEINFO_MIME, "/usr/share/misc/magic"); // Retourne le type
mime
So arg #2 is missing in finfo-file man page
