This mean "Check the list of user-defined function,for function_name." And only user-defined. The original (english) translation is : "Checks the list of defined functions, both built-in (internal) and user-defined, for function_name.". So the french translation suggest that all built-in function are not checked (which is false). The right french translation should be : "Vérifie la liste des fonctions définies par l'utilisateur ainsi que celles internes à php afin d'y trouver function_name".
