Summary: Example is wrong
Status: Open
Type: Documentation Problem
Package: Documentation problem
Operating System: Linux
PHP Version: Irrelevant
Block user comment: N
Private report: N
New Comment:
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I cannot reproduce this on PHP 5.3.3-7+squeeze1
Both versions run in a couple of seconds, especially if I use lxr.php.net instead of example.com
like in the other example.

Description:
------------
---
From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.curl-multi-add-handle#Examples
From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.curl-multi-close#Examples
---
The example on these pages shows a spinloop waiting for curl_multi_exec to say it's done. A
junior person in our group tried to follow that example to transfer some image files and
couldn't understand why it ran for an hour and did nothing.
Suggest deleting this example and linking to the one on the curl_multi_exec page, which calls
curl_multi_select to pause until there's data to transfer.
