Just a little translation mistake: http://www.php.net/manual/en/regexp.reference.assertions.php says that '(?<!foo)bar does find an occurrence of "bar" that is not preceded by "foo"' while http://www.php.net/manual/ru/regexp.reference.assertions.php says that this pattern will NOT find an occurence of bar that is not preceded by 'foo'.
