This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the

to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

Log: Documented REMOTE_USER and REDIRECT_REMOTE_USER entries. Closes bug #60035.

At this point, I've grep'd the sources for a few different versions of PHP
(including PHP 4.4.9), I've searched the mod_auth_sspi sources, and I've googled
extensively for the REDIRECT_REMOTE_USER key. I've found a few mentions on
various websites, but all of them refer to its use, not its purpose.
If you can figure out where to find sources that define the key, or even just
documentation that describes it, I'll document it.

It seems to be set by mod_auth_sspi

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what level of the web stack is providing
this key. I'm thinking maybe mod_proxy, but it's hard to tell.
Do you happen to have any idea where it's defined, or even documented elsewhere?

Description:
------------
---
From manual page: http://www.php.net/reserved.variables.server
---
The "REDIRECT_REMOTE_USER" key would be usefully documented in $_SERVER documentation
page, or a link provided to some documentation for this commonly used key.
