Edit report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=61845&edit=1 ID: 61845 User updated by: d at yahoo dot com Reported by: d at yahoo dot com Summary: confusing example title Status: Closed Type: Documentation Problem Package: MySQLi related PHP Version: Irrelevant Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: n/a Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2012-08-03 17:49:54] fmwdeveloper at gmail dot com n/a ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2012-04-24 21:19:42] d at yahoo dot com Description: ------------ --- From manual page: http://www.php.net/mysqli.quickstart.statements --- Example #1 reads "Example #1 Bad coding style". I'm confused as to why an example with bad coding style is here. There is no reference to bad coding style besides in the title so there is no explanation. Is the purpose of the example just to show how to quickly connect to the db and create a table? Or is it to show an example of what not to do? Seems like an example with good coding style should be put up there and the title should read something like "Example #1 Connect to database and create table" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=61845&edit=1
