Latest CHM manuals works very slow, now wordwrapping?

I have noticed, that the .chm manuals after version 4.1.1. work very slow,
which makes them virtually unusable.
(I am using PII-350.)
Also the word-wrapping has been turned off for some reason (it worked ok in
some of the earliest 4.* versions).
