I know. Damien Seguy said before, that when they started to offer
the special versions of the manual at Nexen ( see link at
http://www.php.net/docs.php ), they started with no zip
version, but then too many people requested the zip version,
and it is downloaded really frequently.
I dropped a note online on the http://www.php.net/download-docs.php
page, that many zip tools can handle .tar.gz files (tip for
win users in the sidebar). See if this increases the downloads
of .tar.gz files, and decreases the zip ones, we can move on IMHO.
Where are the scripts moving the manual dist files into phpweb?
Sascha requested a modification for all the manual files to be
under /distributions/manual instead of /manual/{$LANG}/
This helps to speed up the server as less redirections needed.
