Hi,
I submitted the last patch to OCIError that was included in PHP 4.3.0
and would like to amend the documentation.
How should the document denote that the array returned by OCIError now
includes 2 extra variables in version greater than and equal to PHP 4.3.0?
My goal is to provide you with a complete description for OCIError. I'd
simply like to know how you'd like it presented with the varying return
variables in different versions of PHP.
How about this:
-- cut here --
OCIError
(PHP 3>= 3.0.7, PHP 4 )
OCIError -- Return the last error of stmt|conn|global
Description
array OCIError ( [int stmt|conn|global])
OCIError() returns the last error found. If the optional
stmt|conn|global is not provided, the last error encountered is
returned. If no error is found, OCIError() returns FALSE. OCIError()
returns the error as an associative array. In this array, code consists
the oracle error code, message the oracle errorstring, sqltext the text
of the sql that errored, and offset the offset into the sqltext string
to the location of the error.
Note that sqltext and offset were added in PHP 4.3.0.
-- cut here --
Once this is up, I'll add a note to show an example of its usage.
Thanks,
Daniel Ceregatti
