From: brandon dot whitehead at orst dot edu Operating system: Win32 (XP) PHP version: 4.3.1 PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: LibXML requirement in PHP 4.3 The documentation on http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.domxml.php states: "Note to Win32 Users: In order to enable this module on a Windows environment, you must copy libxml2.dll from the DLL folder of the PHP/Win32 binary package to the SYSTEM32 folder of your windows machine. (Ex: C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 or C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32)" However, after much searching and then by checking with Dependency Walker, it appears as if libxml-2.04.30 is built into PHP-4.3.1. The current version of libxml is 2.05.07, and I do not seem to be able to upgrade to the newer version (I am trying to work around a P.I. bug in domxml, see bug 23676). -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=23677&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23677&r=gnused
