PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem
Bug description: 'continue' is not documented in detail
You could add half a sentence to the 'continue' page of the manual that
'continue' will work for the 'switch' structure too, and behave just like
'break'. And that you have to use 'countinue 2' to get to the real loop
containing the 'switch'. "continue is used within looping structures" can
be very misleading as you can see from the user comments.
Neither does the 'switch' docs page say that "'switch' is considered a
looping structure in PHP." Bug #747 states this but I think it should be
in the docs too.
I saw 5 other bug reports which tried to classify this behavior an engine
bug. I concluded that it's not. If you could add these 2 lines to the docs
people won't bother you with this problem again.
Thanks.
