there is
$pspell_link = pspell_new_personal ("/var/dictionaries/custom.pws",
"en", "", "", "", PSPELL_FAST|PSPELL_RUN_TOGETHER));
which is wrong, should be:
$pspell_link = pspell_new_personal ("/var/dictionaries/custom.pws",
"en", "", "", "", PSPELL_FAST|PSPELL_RUN_TOGETHER);
It's the extra ) at the end that should be removed
