How to document Class Properties

Hi The DOM extension has a lot of important class properties (like nodeValue, nodeType for getting values, but also similar ones for setting values). Are there any guidelines for how to document them? They are equally important to methods, therefore should they get their own page as well? (I'd say so) Are there any other extensions, which document class properties? TIA chregu
