afaik we have no working setup instructions for mysql and mysqli php5 and apache1/2? Questiions and complains about undefined mysql_/mysqli_ functions pop up on mailinglists and user notes. Is there any solution with the "no need for copy dlls around" way? I feel we should provide working soultions for mysql/mysqli extensions on win32 and apache.
People suggested renaming the libmysql.dll in the mysql folder, and then using the PHP extension as with any other extension. The only problem is that the libmysql.dll in the mysql folder is found before the libmysql.dll in the PHP folder. If the first file is moved out of the way (renamed), then it should work. Remember I don't have windows, I just keep repeating what others said, and it is said to work :) Goba
