Bug description: addition to FAQ for PHP5 & MySQL Installation
Description:
------------
I just wanted to suggest an addition to the documentation, where it says
that mysql header files aren't included in php5 because most systems
already have them. Well, I'm kind of a novice with linux php and mysql,
so I didn't know where to get the header files. It took me about 4 hours
to finally realize that all I had to do was download and install
mysql-devel. I only had mysql-server and mysql-client. I know common
sense should have told me but I guess I'm a bit tired. I would just make
an addition telling users that if they don't have the header files they
are located in mysql-devel from mysql's site. I didn't know if it was in
the PECL or PEAR stuff or what. I know you cant spell everything out for
the novices because the documentation would be horrific, but that should
just be a small addition that I think might make a lot of people happier
:)
Take care, and thanks for the best server-side scripting language,
Will
