literal titles

I noticed a problem in livedocs, and when I ran it by Ilia, he agreed that livedocs should be fixed, but wondered about the wisdom of doing what we do. I told him I'd run it by the list. Why do we have completely literal titles? For example: [phpdoc/en/language/control-structures.xml] <title><literal>if</literal></title> I'd understand something like: <title>part of this is <literal>literal</literal></title> But an entirely literal title? What do the rest of you think? S
