Since the online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better. "Replace php4 by php5 in PHP 5." We have only one file both for PHP 4 and 5 and it will be hard to split them to two files. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-07-04 17:13:17] jdwaller at gmail dot com Description: ------------ In the INSTALL document that comes packaged with version 5 php (all versions), there is the following line. Its been there for a LONG time in 5.0 builds. Please relace with the correct build path for the apache webserver. 11. ./configure --prefix=/www --activate-module=src/modules/ php4/libphp4.a (The above line is correct! Yes, we know libphp4.a does not exist at this stage. It isn't supposed to. It will be created.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=33566&edit=1
