Corrections and XML entity creation

Hi, I have already create a patch with some corrections. I don't like so much the editor online because it's not perfectly synchronized with the svn repository and I work always on my PC (it's faster). Now I can't commit my update to the english documentation because I only have access to the Italian version. The reason why I have come to meet the errors is that I'm working on the Italian translation files that has a lot yet to update and add. Can I also have permission to work on the English version?
