Hi,
some time ago, one of the users proposed following mockup for deprecated functions: http://i.imgur.com/EH1d9ew.png
Many of us agreed that it's a very good idea, but it might be hard to implement. I need to look deeper into the files.
I don't know about any ideas of improvements for aliases handling, but feel free to propose one :)

Hi all, I have RFC that renames legacy function names and make old names aliases. https://wiki.php.net/rfc/consistent_function_names Currently, manual system requires aliases to have dedicated page for them. I would like to document aliases in parent function pages, and make it searchable by alias names. I don't understand document system well, so I would like to hear from you how feasible it is. I also appreciate feedback for the RFC. Thank you. Regards, -- Yasuo Ohgaki yohgaki@ohgaki.net <mailto:yohgaki@ohgaki.net>
