Hi,
I'm interested in translating PHP documentation in HINDI ( one of the 22
languages of BHARAT aka INDIA
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_India#Hindi
) . I can see
that there is not translation group for my language. Hence, I would like
to know the procedure to start one.
Also, as per the language mailing list naming rule the mailing list must
have the country name in doc-{LANG}@lists.php.net format in place of
{LANG} However, in my case one language can't represent the country. As
you may see from this wiki article
( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_India#Scheduled_languages
)
my country speaks a multitude of languages and thus using the code 'in'
for the mail list will be unfair for other languages ( even though they
may not be wanting a to translate PHP in their language, but still all
future cases must be taken into account ).
So, kindly provide me the procedure to initiate a language group for
HINDI in a way that i may use the iso code for hindi ( 'hi' ) instead of
using 'in' in the mailing list.
Thank You.
