Folks, This looks like A Bad Thing: ----------------- [Thu Aug 3 21:04:58 2000] Script: '/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/account/index.php' --------------------------------------- zend_hash.c(559) : Block 0x081C77FC status: Beginning: Overrun (magic=0x08100D80, expected=0x7312F8DC) End: Unknown --------------------------------------- [Thu Aug 3 21:04:59 2000] [notice] child pid 3886 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) ----------------- Then: ----------------- session.c(1240) : Freeing 0x082A0A64 (11 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php session.c(1239) : Freeing 0x082A039C (9 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php session.c(1250) : Freeing 0x082A00B4 (8 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php session.c(1248) : Freeing 0x08258DCC (2 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php session.c(1241) : Freeing 0x082B6814 (1 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php session.c(1245) : Freeing 0x082B67E4 (1 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php session.c(1249) : Freeing 0x082B67B4 (1 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php zend_operators.c(903) : Freeing 0x082E63EC (51 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php ./zend_execute.c(1572) : Freeing 0x082E618C (12 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php ./zend_execute.c(413) : Freeing 0x082E4D94 (12 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php zend_hash.c(185) : Freeing 0x082A2CF4 (20 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/beta/bcreative/hot100/index.php ----------------- And, to prove that I haven't just written spectacularly bad code: ----------------- zend_hash.c(185) : Freeing 0x082A2D84 (20 bytes), script=/usr/local/apache/waldo/phpinfo.php ----------------- Yes, that really was just phpinfo(). I get errors related to session.c, zend-scanner.l, zend_hash.c, mod_files.c, zend_operators.c, zend_opcode.c, zend_API.c...the list goes on. This server has been running this combo of PHP+Apache since 4.0 came out. This is PHP 4.0.0 -- I haven't seen anything in the changelogs that indicates that this is a fault of running an oldish version. In the meantime, I've got a $25,000 site to deliver tomorrow, and sessions are working in a rather flaky fashion. I'm getting sporadic errors of sessions.c. Coincidence? I have no idea. Rest of the info: RH6.0, Apache 1.3.12, MySQL 3.22. Every site on this machine runs on PHP, few appear to be having troubles. We're just focusing on this particular site right now, given the time constraints. I've checked docs, list archives, etc. Haven't gotten anywhere. I'll take the time to upgrade PHP tonight, if I need to, I'd just hate to have to recompile all of these on a live server if I don't need to. Any of y'all have an idea for me? It's gonna be a late night, I can tell already. :) Thanks. Best, Waldo Waldo L.
