link to external php scripts?

Just came to think of it now, is it possible to link to php scripts, on.. lets say my server, from an online account I have, that does not support php. I was mostly thinking of counters included on pages now, but other things to, like $date() and similiar. wxw.hostedscripts.com uses cgi for the links, is it easy to do? :) Håkan
