thank you very much Chris... stupid error.. I had done so many tests with
this database, that the user I was using was the one I used in another
script, which only had insert permissions, and not select..
sorry for all this mess, and thank you very much to all the ones who tried
to help me!!!
from now on I'll always use the mysql_error() function...
