Hi. I'm trying to install php 4.0.1 patch 2 with apache 1.3.12 on a redhat 6.1 system
Here are the steps I've done:
1. ./configure in the apache source directory (no errors)
2. ./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars --enable-magic-quotes
--enable-ftp --with-mysql --enable-trans-sid --with-openssl (in php source dir, no errors)
3. make install in php dir (no errors)
4. ./configure --prefix=/www --with-port=8080 --enable-suexec --enable-module=so
--enable-module=log_agent --enable-module=log_referer --suexec-caller=www
--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a (in apache source dir, no errors)
5. make in apache dir (no errors)
6. make install in apache dir (no errors)
7. uncommented the AddType application/x-httpd-php .php line in httpd.conf
8. uncommented AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps in httpd.conf
9. ran apachectl start
I didn't get any errors the entire way. When I try to pull up a simple html page, works fine.
When I try to pull up my test.php file ( <? phpinfo(); ?> ), i get a download dialogue
box. I'm at wits end, any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

PS. I've installed php 4 times before with no problem, I can't figure out what I'm
doing wrong this time.
