I've simplified my script. Does anyone see anything wrong with my code? It's self-containing, so if you want to try it on your own PHP server and see if it works for you... for some reason this still doesn't work, and $return still evaluates to 0. It evaluates to 1 if successful.
<html>
<head>
<title>a mail Test</title>
</head>
<body>
<?php
$return = mail('pricee@hhbrown.com', 'subject', 'message');
print "<p>Now, hopefully your message has been sent. ";
print "The return value of mail() is " . (int)$return . ".</p>\n";
?>
</body>
</html>
