<snip>
the Internet Explorer 5.5 ignors the Header "Content-Type:
application/octet-stream".
Is there another possibility to force the download of a text-file, IE5.5
shows each text-file in his browser-window.
</snip>
header( "Content-type: application/x-gzip" );
header( "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=export.txt" );
header( "Content-Description: PHP3 Generated Data" );
I use the above headers to force downloads of text files. It works with
every browser I've tried including IE 5.5
Sincerely,
Craig Vincent
