I run a commercial web site that makes use of PHP4 and Apache and wanted to
know what the positives and negatives of this method are

Before I implement it, I
wanted to make sure it worked flawlessly. I'm especially worried about the
first Feedback post that says Apache returns a 404 in the page header. Ugh!
Your experience, guidance and info is much appreciated. Public or private
replies OK.
