This sounds like a database issue. Are you changes comitted before you check for the updated value?
Apparently not. How would I check/force that other than what I'm doing? Here's the tail of the first part, where I've verified the user, and am storing the new cookie value. $query = "UPDATE $Name_Table SET cookie = '$Cvalue' WHERE reference = '$Reference'"; MYSQL_db_QUERY('dbase',$query); Some more script occurs here, page formatting, not involved.. sleep(1); # If I turn this off, the script will fail. $User = "user"; $Pass = "password"; mysql_pconnect ('localhost',$User,$Pass) or die ("Can't connect to database</TABLE></HTML>"); $Name_Table = "isp_auth"; $stmt = "SELECT * FROM $Name_Table WHERE cookie = '$Cvalue'"; $Result = mysql_db_query('dbase',$stmt) or die ("Can't pull up isp_auth</TABLE></HTML>"); $Index = @mysql_num_rows($Result); //How many rows did we get? Here's where I bomb out if the delay is left out. if ($Index == "0") {die("No such cookie on file.<br></TABLE></HTML>");} -- Where's dave? http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?kc6ete-9
