Hi all,
I am trying to run php on apache. I am using the following:
- Redhat 6.0
- PHP4 source
- apache 1.3.12 source
I successfully compiled and installed both (php-module option). I copied php.ini file to
/usr/local/lib. Uncommented the line: #AddType application/x-httpd-php .php.
The problem is that when I put a test PHP file in the ht-docs directory, apache fails to understand
its contents (prompt me to save the file!). Also when I try to run any CGI-BIN script from that
directory (/cgi-bin/) I get 'forbidden' message! I read that apache does not allow root to
execute cgi-acripts so I tried normal account, same problem.
any ideas????
thanks in advance
Sherief
