Dear Sir, I have a Windows95 operating systems. I have installed Apache 1.3.12 (Win32) and PHP3. I am enjoying development but the main problem is MySQL database. I have installed MySQL Server version 3.22.34-shareware-debug. I have created databases and tables through DOS console. But whenever I try to connect to the database through PHP command mysql_connect() or mysql_pconnect() it shows the following error message; Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function mysql_pconnect() in c:\apache\htdocs\php-bin\test.php3 on line 31 I have checked the manual of MySQL and it says that : This means that your PHP version isn't compiled with MySQL support. You can either compile a dynamic module of MySQL and load it into PHP or recompile PHP with built-in MySQL support. This is described in detail in the PHP manual. I am not getting how to compile PHP with MySQL and don't want to be. I just wanted to develop the application on PHP with MySQL. So, is there any thing that I should do to run the PHP and MySQL simultaneusly. I request you true peoples, to kindly give me the direction to solve this problem. Thanks, Hemant Kumar Hemant Kumar hkumar@dinsol.com http://dinsol.com/
