Re: php 4.2.1 and MySQL

No extra parameters have been added to the mysql_connect() function. The error you're seeing is straight from mysql...so it's really not php. Mysql says "Using password: YES" because you're trying to login in with a password. If you took out "password" in the mysql_connect() function, it'd say "Using password: NO". Go into mysql and make sure the username/password haven't been changed and make sure the machine that php is on is allowed to connect to the mysql server.
